During his tenure in the California State Assembly, which included the 2010 election cycle, Bob Blumenfield demonstrated a documented relationship with pro-Israel advocacy through his affiliations and legislative actions.

Bob Blumenfield served as the Chair of the Valley Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The ADL is recognized for its pro-Israel advocacy. While the exact dates of his chairmanship overlap with his time in the Assembly (2008-2013), his biography indicates this role as part of his community involvement. Around 2010, Blumenfield also joined Temple Judea with his family.

As a state assemblyman, Blumenfield engaged in legislative efforts concerning Israel. In 2012, he sponsored a California house resolution that denounced the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, further stating that characterizing Israel as an “apartheid state” was anti-Semitic. He also assisted in organizing a letter denouncing the BDS movement on University of California campuses. In 2012, Blumenfield received the “Jerry Sampson Legislator of the Year Award” from the Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California (JPAC), an organization that engages in pro-Israel advocacy.
