California political donor and technology executive Keith Rabois has publicly expressed support for the Israeli government and engaged in pro-Israel advocacy, particularly during the recent Gaza conflict.
During the Gaza war, Rabois “regularly expressed support for the Israeli government”. He asserted that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were “the most ethical military in world history”. Rabois also “rejected evidence of Palestinian civilians killed in airstrikes”. He has been documented attempting to “minimize the magnitude of Palestinian civilian deaths while simultaneously blaming Palestinians for their own demise” and is credited with coining the phrase “Hamas children”.
Rabois has defended Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in its role concerning the conflict, stating, “Without X, we would almost surely be confronting another Holocaust now. So thank you @elonmusk.” He further elaborated that “Without X, American support for Israel would be dangerously low because the atrocities would have been hidden or sanitized”.
In a 2014 interview, Rabois discussed his long-standing interest in foreign policy and the Middle East, noting he “spent a lot of time studying the Middle East” and learned foreign policy by watching “Nightline every night with Ted Koppel and Ambassador Netanyahu at the time”. He also mentioned a trip to Israel with his husband “a couple years ago” where they “met with some very senior leaders in government and the military”.
